I played with FCAMDVB/Mission 4:10 Volleyball for the past fright from the beginning–and I loved every season! This club is one of the main reasons I fell in love with the sport of volleyball. The way the coaches and leaders of the club incorporate the athletes’ relationship with Jesus into everything is something I’ve never experienced anywhere else, and I wouldn’t give it up for anything 🙂

Our family had a great year, as we have every year. The quality of coaching is always excellent. Every year, we see tremendous improvement in our player. The girls were pushed to play at a VERY high level this year, and the result wasn’t always the desired win. However, I think that we saw some of their best playing when they were pushed to play against stronger teams. Our player learns valuable lessons (volleyball and life) from each coach, every year. She would often comment to us how much she loved her coaches and how positive they were, even on a rough day. I’ve seen how negative coaches and teammates can turn students off from something they love so thank you for providing a great atmosphere where the girls can thrive and know they are God’s masterpiece.

There were several times when my daughter was discouraged and questioned if she made the right decision of leaving her former club team, where she would be playing with her school teammates, to come to FCAMDVB/Mission 4:10 Volleyball. I had to remind her of how God orchestrated it all out for her to be on a team where the coach was very knowledgeable of the game, where the competition was higher/stronger (making her a better player) and opportunities were given to her to play at the next level. She would not have had any of these things staying with her former club team/organization. What helped her even more to realize she made the right decision was when her Junior High volleyball coach told her at the beginning of their season (March), that he could see so much growth in her. More so than any other player on his team (5 of them playing for her former club organization) and that she definitely found a good club team/organization to be a part of. 

The club and its leadership sets itself apart by not only providing excellent coaching to improve players’ volleyball skills in hopes of collegiate recruitment; they also focus on the greatest skill of promoting exceptional spiritual values and providing God-focused support in every facet of what they do. They care for the person and each player’s unique gifts, not just the athlete. Mary Walton, Melissa Thomas, and the coaching staff are passionate about ensuring that every player is given encouragement, motivation, constructive feedback, and the chance to thrive!

Steadfast set the gold standard for athletics sportsmanship, hands down. They were the only team to receive the referee’s award as a team at their very first conference, and reiterated it durning their last conference. Ask coach Anna for details, they set the example regardless of their own successes – to the admiration of other team players, their parents, coaches and referees. FCAMDVB/Mission 4:10 Volleyball really does have the best club model in our experience.
